Using Twitter for European Elections
One of the groovy things about Twitter is that you can ping messages to all those that are part of a group by including the @ sign before the name in your tweet.
So I want to help democracy by ensuring not only people vote but they are fully informed. This means we need to tell those in the conservative party about what labour stand for, or more to the point what all the others stand for so that they can consider their existing position and be open to new ideas. Let’s help democracy by sending the link to our story on Political Editor to all those political party fans on Twitter. (While putting this together a search for; Who to VOTE for in the European Elections finds us in the NO 1 spot! I guess we’ll need to break it into a few tweets... tell you what, let’s just do one message but then send it individually to each group, far more polite than a blanket bomb campaign. I have checked the list of parties with a Twitter account... if they have been daft enough to put it under silly names then I haven’t found them but hey, they’ll learn for next time! I have listed the twitter accounts in order of most popular. Labour even manage to split their vote here! Bonkers, get all your people under one roof as it is far easier to manage new communications. The number next to the group is as of around 1:30pm UK time on the 4th June. Let’s see if those numbers are greater tomorrow...
