No 1 Twitter event in the WORLD! |

Today I was lucky enough to be part of the No 1 Twitter event in the WORLD for the 3rd June 2009... well that’s what Thomas Power said it would be... we’ll have to wait for the official stats but there was some serious tweeting and re-tweeting going on!!
A bunch of Tweechers, people who know stuff about Twitter but can’t spell! We’re giving those in the house and out in the tweeting world, using the #Twalk tag, an insight in how each and every one of us can make the most out of Twitter. I have been a huge sceptic up until today and it wasn’t the Tweechers who showed me the light, as only one of them got any airtime... it was none other than Mr Thomas Power himself. The main man behind Ecademy, with a little help from his Mrs, he has been involved with networking for, if you do the consultancy type approach to these things, close on 100 years and growing exponentially by the hour.... so many networks so little time! The key with Thomas’ approach to the new world order is: Open – Random – SupportiveDon’t think me, me and what about me... think of your fellow man and how you can help them do more of their stuff. Be open to random opportunities appearing. For instance, today, if you read my earlier posts you will not a “noise pollution” air about Twitter. I was happy to go and listen and was open to hear everyone’s opinions. Who would give me the answer the 6 presenters, the bloke behind me in the seminar room or the lady with the big hat? None of them, it was Ecademy’s hallowed leader Mr Thomas Power who helped me see... I will share his wisdom with those who care to listen later this evening on the radio show I am involved with. I tried to over complicate last week... this week we’ll just use the mini laptop internal camera and see what can be achieved. Our special guest is Pamela Carvell, chair of the Hotel Marketing Association, and so naturally we will be trying to help local hoteliers and guest house owners make the most of their properties online.
