Jon(athan) Davey

Jon Davey was born and brought up in Yorkshire. After 10 years in sales with corporate companies he decided that he needed his own “tin of beans” to sell but didn’t know what. Best solution, pack it all in and do that world tour thing!! After 6 months of fun it was time to dive back in and finding himself in Windsor he started his own web design business around the start of the millennium.

20th February 2002 and Jon launched a business email newsletter to help promote his email marketing business, Business in Berkshire was born. For the last 7 years, every Monday morning an email is despatched with business events for those in and around Berkshire. The BinB website allows our business partners, those with micro sites, to promote not just their events but to push out business news to an awaiting public! Recognised for our quality content, Google uses our news in its alert programme tuned in by many corporate organisations.

“If you want to talk to the big boys then using our micro sites is a brilliant way to connect, just ask Mark from SpinVox. Our content is indexed very quickly. After the MarlowFM 2009 launch I published a story the next day on our website and within the hour Mark was talking to Jean Wolfe, my co Business Editor for this year’s MarlowFM programming, after his PR people forwarded the story!”

Jon has been asked to be the Business Editor for 2009 and his first job was to co opt Jean Wolfe in as fellow Business Editor... smart move!

Wednesday evening from the 27th May for 4 weeks, Online Marketing Magic will be a LIVE radio show as well as a bi-monthly event. We will be helping 2 local Marlow businesses each evening. And shortly it could well be a LIVE web video broadcast!!

Jon Davey is a Social Media Director based in Windsor, Berkshire UK.

These short videos aim to both educate those interested on how to boost their social media profile, both online and offline, while at the same time helping Jon's own profile by being indexed rapidly by the search engines and YouTube.

Social Media is made up of two words ... social & ... you've got it media ! This means that it is not just about online marketing, offline is key as well. Your goal should perhaps be to recognised online by your industry and locally offline.
