Using Twitter to get rid of writer’s block

Writing a book can be a daunting prospect. So what could be easier than breaking it down into manageable chunks?

For this interactive presentation, bring along some pens and paper and an idea for a book you would like to write.

In just 13 minutes, Tom will show you how you can use the 140 characters of Twitter and a blog to structure and write a whole book. Any percieved blocks you might have had about writing your book will vapourise and be replaced by a new enthuiasm and a ‘cunning plan’.

Using the techniques Tom will teach you, you will learn how your followers become your best advocates and your blog your best search engine optimisation tool. In the Q+A session he will also answer any questions about the many ways to get published in this Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 world.

Tom is a trained hypnotherapist and a specialist at curing writer’s block. He is also a mind mapping master trainer and teaches Whole Brain and Whole Mind Thinking to help authors tap into unlimited creativity.

Publicity for the 31st March event...

A published book is a marvellous door opener and will take you in directions you never dreamt of. It becomes the best business card you will ever have. It is also a thoroughly satisfying way to share your thoughts and wisdom with your clients.

The introduction of print on demand has democratised printing in the favour of the author. As a result the publishing industry has been transformed and going through a major rethink – not too dissimilar to the music industry a few years earlier. You can now go from edited manuscript to printed book within a few days and low print runs from one upwards are economically viable.

Combined with all of this, there are many new ways readers (and listeners) want to engage with the written word. Nowadays a printed book is just one option. Authors can now generate multiple revenue streams from audio books and ebooks for the new generation of eReaders from the likes of Sony & Amazon.

Tom Evans was a bored IT techie just 3 years ago. He became an unexpected author after having a shower with a tarantula in it. As a result of publishing his first book, 100 Years of Ermintrude, he then ended up walking 26 miles in a bra around London with 15,000 women

He is now a specialist at curing writer’s block and tapping authors into unlimited creativity. For Tom, writing a book has resulted in him developing a completely new business and now unleashing books in many people who would have never thought it possible.
